Our Sky

It's midnight,

Look at this sky,

Contemplate and wonder,

Majestic eternal stars,

For thousands of years,

And at the speed of light,

These giant balls of fire,

Have finally arrived,

This is their final destination,

They've reached the end of their path,

From across the universe,

And only for you and I,

These majestic ephemeral stars,

Have forever lost some of their light,

Just for us,

Illuminating our eyes.
